Love them or hate them, the Chicago Bears’ orange jerseys are making a big comeback this season.
On Friday, the Bears unveiled the orange look, which they haven’t worn since the 2011 season. The team will wear the jerseys twice this season:
“I think it’s a great look and it’s a modern-day look that’s reminiscent of our past,” Bears Chairman George H. McCaskey said in a statement.
According to the team, the orange threads will be worn in Miami on Oct. 14 when the Bears play the Dolphins, and they will be worn at Soldier Field on Nov. 18 when Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings come to town.
Chicago Bears Push Forward in Mini-Camp
The Chicago Sun-Times reports that the Bears originally had to choose between the orange jerseys and the blue-and-orange throwback uniforms that the team wore in previous seasons, but a new NFL rule allowed the Bears to wear both during the course of the season.
