For the first time in his NFL career, it seems likely that Mitchell Trubisky will miss a game for the Chicago Bears

Trubisky, who suffered a shoulder injury against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, has been listed as doubtful for the Bears' Thanksgiving game against the Detroit Lions.

Trubisky has made 22 consecutive starts for the Bears, but all signs are pointing to Chase Daniel being under center when the Bears look to extend their winning streak against the Lions.

Daniel has started a total of two games in his NFL career, both of which came as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs. In 60 career games, Daniel has thrown for 480 yards and one touchdown, and has extensive experience in head coach Matt Nagy's offensive system.

If the Bears feel confident that Trubisky won't be able to play, they'll likely sign quarterback Tyler Bray to their active roster to back up Daniel. Bray was on the Bears' roster during the preseason, and is currently on the team's practice squad.

A final determination on Trubisky's condition will be made when the team announces its inactive players on Thursday morning.

Meanwhile, the Bears will be without key players on both sides of the ball, as defensive end Aaron Lynch and tight end Adam Shaheen will both miss the game due to concussions they suffered against the Vikings.
