Chicago Bears' Showdown With Rams Flexed to Sunday Night Football

The game will be the Bears' third Sunday Night Football contest of the season

The Chicago Bears will play their first nationally-televised Sunday night game in six years this week, but they won’t have to wait that long to do it again.

On Wednesday, the NFL revealed that the Bears’ Week 14 game against the Los Angeles Rams has been flexed into the Sunday Night Football slot on Dec. 9.

The Bears, who are currently in first place in the NFC North, will take on the NFC West’s best team in that contest, as the Rams are one of three NFL teams with one loss on the season.

The flex was one of two the NFL revealed, as the Week 13 game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Chargers will also be moved to primetime.

The Bears will be in primetime this week when they take on the Minnesota Vikings at Soldier Field on Sunday night. The game is the first Sunday night contest hosted at Soldier Field since the 2012 season.
