Brad Childress Set to Return to Matt Nagy's Staff

Childress held an analyst job with the Bears in 2018, but got bumped up for his new gig in 2019

The Chicago Bears have made another high-profile addition to their coaching staff, as the team has brought back Brad Childress as its Senior Offensive Assistant.

Childress, who formerly was the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings before bouncing around several different NFL jobs, coached with the Bears last season as an offensive analyst, but got a new role with the team for the coming year.

Childress and Bears head coach Matt Nagy are familiar with one another, as Childress worked with the Kansas City Chiefs from 2013 to 2017 while Nagy was on staff. Childress served as the team’s offensive coordinator in 2016 and was an assistant head coach during the 2017 campaign.

The Aurora-native will once again work with Nagy’s staff in Chicago as the team looks to continue building up an offense that showed strides forward during the 2018 season.
