The Chicago Bears' defense was tremendous against the Green Bay Packers, but their offense couldn't get anything going in an opening night loss Thursday.
10:28 p.m.
Mitchell Trubisky was sacked on fourth-and-8, sealing the loss for the Bears.
10:21 p.m.
Talk about a dagger. After several big throws by Trubisky, he lofts a ball to the left corner of the end zone, and it's intercepted by former Bears safety Adrian Amos.

The Bears are driving down the field, trailing by seven points, and Trubisky has thrown several good passes. Unfortunately for the Bears, a big gain by Taylor Gabriel was negated by a Green Bay challenge, as he landed out of bounds.
9:53 p.m.
The Bears, thanks to three straight penalties, faced a 1st-and-40 on a drive early in the fourth quarter, and after three straight short plays, they were once again forced to punt the ball away.
The game has all the makings of one that the defense will need to steal with less than 12 minutes to go.
9:35 p.m.
The third quarter has been a defensive struggle, with both teams not really sniffing scoring opportunities.
The Bears do have five sacks of Aaron Rodgers so far in the game, the most they've ever gotten against him. Two of those belong to Leonard Floyd, the third time in his career he's had multiple sacks against Green Bay.
As for the offense, the struggles continue. Mitchell Trubisky had a few good throws to Allen Robinson and David Montgomery, but he missed on a throw to Cordarrelle Patterson and was tackled short of a first down on a fourth-down run, turning the ball over on downs.
8:08 p.m.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling makes the first big play of the day for the Packers with a 47-yard pass, and three plays later, Jimmy Graham out-jumped Deon Bush for a touchdown, giving Green Bay a 7-3 lead.
After gaining negative yards in the first half, the Packers reeled off a four-play, 74 yard drive early in the second. Aaron Rodgers now has 79 yards passing in the game.
7:47 p.m.
In an incredibly dramatic moment, the Bears got to within field goal range and Eddy Pineiro blasted through a 38-yard field goal to give the Bears a 3-0 lead in the game.
7:34 p.m.
The teams have both put together unsuccessful opening drives. Roquan Smith made two big tackles and Roy Robertson-Harris had a sack, but the Bears couldn't take advantage as their drive stalled out with a Blake Martinez sack of Mitchell Trubisky.
7:15 p.m.
The Bears and Packers are about to get underway at Soldier Field, and several former players are in attendance, including Jay Cutler and Devin Hester:

6 p.m. The Chicago Bears are set to open their regular season against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night, but one key player will not be suiting up for the team.
Tight end Trey Burton, who had been limited in practice throughout the week because of a groin injury, is one of eight Bears players who will miss Thursday’s game against the Packers.
Burton was seen on the field during warmups on Thursday, but was ruled out by the team on their official inactives list.
Tight end Adam Shaheen will likely get the bulk of the work, but Ben Braunecker would see a high number of snaps as well.
Offensive lineman Rashaad Coward is also going to be out of action with an elbow injury. Defensive lineman Bilal Nichols, who was limited in practice with a knee issue, will suit up and play, the team announced.
