Chicago Bears kicker Cody Parkey is in for a long offseason after his missed field goal sent the team to a 16-15 defeat at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
Parkey, who previous to this game had hit 11 of 12 fourth quarter field goals this season, managed to not only hit the left upright on his final kick of Sunday’s game, but also hit the crossbar, adding one more layer of pain and disappointment to the Bears’ loss:
