Brian Urlacher to be Honored at Halftime Ceremony Monday

Urlacher was inducted into the Hall of Fame earlier this summer

The Chicago Bears will honor linebacker Brian Urlacher at halftime of their home opener on Sept. 17 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Urlacher, who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this summer, will be added into the team’s Ring of Excellence during the ceremony, and will be honored by former teammates and coaches.

Former teammates Lance Briggs, Matt Forte, Roberto Garza, Olin Kreutz, Patrick Mannelly, Charles Tillman, and Nathan Vasher are among the players expected to attend. Alex Brown, Mike Brown, Israel Idonije, Jason McKie, Adewale Ogunleye, and Nick Roach will also be in attendance, the team said in a statement.

Urlacher’s Hall of Fame bust will be at Soldier Field for the game, and fans will be able to take photos with it through the end of the first quarter in the South Courtyard.

Fans will also be able to celebrate Urlacher’s career in the Dr. Pepper Patio, with a locker room display, green screens, and giant “54’s” in that area.

The game will be televised on ESPN’s Monday Night Football beginning at 7:15 p.m.
