Chicago Bears Activate Adam Shaheen From Injured Reserve

Ahead of a big game against the Minnesota Vikings, the Chicago Bears have made a roster move that could potentially bolster their offense.

On Saturday, the team officially activated tight end Adam Shaheen from the injured reserve list. Shaheen, who suffered a leg injury during the preseason, is eligible to play right away for the Bears, but it’s unclear whether he will make his regular season debut on Sunday night.

To make room for Shaheen on the active roster, the Bears have placed tight end Dion Sims on injured reserve, ending his season. Sims recently suffered his second concussion of the year, and had already been ruled out for Sunday’s game.

The Bears also released offensive lineman James Stone from their practice squad.

The Bears will take the field on Sunday night against the Vikings in a game with huge divisional implications. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:20 p.m., and the game will be aired on NBC 5 Chicago.
