Bears fans, are you ready to get pumped up?
Just before the team heads into their first playoff appearance in eight years, NBC 5 will air a special pregame show to get fans prepped for the game.
The NBC 5 Sports Sunday Playoff Preview will air live from 2-3 p.m. Sunday featuring reports from Soldier Field, player and fan reactions and analysis to get fans amped for the game.
The Bears, who finished the season with a 12-4 record after beating the Minnesota Vikings, will welcome the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, to the lakefront as they play in the wild card round for the first time in nearly 25 years. The last time the Bears entered the playoffs in a wild card round was 1994.
The Eagles clinched their playoff spot by virtue of the Vikings' loss to the Bears and with a win over the Washington Redskins in their regular season finale.
