What the Bears Are Thankful For …

Happy Thanksgiving, Bears fans. The season is off to a good start, at 7-3. The Vikings are done, the Lions are the Lions and Chicago holds a tie breaker over the Packers. It's time to go around the dinner table and say what we're thankful for:

Jay Cutler: I'm thankful that the offensive line likes me again. Have you noticed how much less I've been sacked lately? And I get to hand the ball off sometimes now, too. I'm really thankful that I'm still walking.

Julius Peppers: Hooo-boy! I'm thankful for this hot streak. Did you see how many times I took out Tyler Thigpen? And now I get to do that Michael Vick. I'm thankful for that.

Brian Urlacher: I'm thankful for this working wrist. Not only does it mean that I get to have my best season in years, but it also makes it much easier to stuff my mouth with turkey. Hey Lovie! Pass the gravy. And the mashed potatoes. Ooh, and the stuffing.

Lovie Smith: Well, as you know, we've won seven games. We have one goal, and that is the Super Bowl ring, and so we're thankful. We'll make the changes we need to make, and we're thankful to make those changes ...

Matt Forte:  ... zzzzz ... Coach! GET EXCITED, MAN. Let's be thankful! I'll tell you what I'm thankful for. I'm thankful for Coach Martz. I'm thankful he's giving me the ball. How 'bout that, COACH. What about you, DH?

Devin Hester:  I'm thankful that I'm back to being ME. I like being a wide receiver and all that, but y'all know I'm a return man at heart. I'm the BEST return man. I am so thankful that I lead the league in punt returns.

Smith
: Me, too.

Cutler: Me, too.

Urlacher with a mouth full of food: Me, too.

And dear readers of Grizzly Detail, we are so thankful for you. Have a happy Thanksgiving.
