What Bears Fan Need to Know About the Lions

It's been a tough start for the Detroit Lions. After winning their opener, they dropped three straight games before beating the Eagles. Like the Bears, they are coming off a bye week. What else do you need to know about the last place team in the NFC North?

Offensive issues: The Lions are gaining more than 400 yards per game, but they still have a record of 2-3. What's the problem? They're not getting in the end zone enough. Calvin Johnson, the receiver who has been giving the Bears' headaches for years, has just one touchdown. Matthew Stafford has only one touchdown pass.

No ground game:
Since Jahvid Best was injured with a concussion a year ago, he has not been cleared to return to football. Doctors confirmed that decision this week. While he continues to heal and hopes to return to the Lions, the team has been all over the place at running back. Mikel LeShoure is the team's top back with 196 yards in three games.

Sack masters:
One thing has not changed about the Lions is that they have a terrifying defensive line. They have 12 sacks, and Cliff Avril leads the team with 3.5 sacks. They are the brightest spot on the Lions defense, who wasn't able to get a pick until they played the Eagles in Week 5.
