Sam Acho Listed as Starting Linebacker on New Bears Depth Chart

The Chicago Bears released their updated unofficial depth chart on Tuesday afternoon, and with the departures of Jared Allen and Jon Bostic, there are some new names making their way up the board.

To start with, Sam Acho is now listed as the starting outside linebacker, lining up opposite of Pernell McPhee at the position. Lamarr Houston remains the back-up on one side, and Willie Young will ascend to the back-up spot on the other.

Lamin Barrow and John Timu remain the back-ups at the interior linebacker positions with Bostic’s departure, and Shea McClellin and Christian Jones are still the starters.

The other change this week involves Jeremiah Ratliff, who will return from his three game suspension and will take over as the starting nose tackle, according to the depth chart. Ratliff was dealing with an ankle injury even prior to his suspension taking effect, but we’ll know more about his injury status when the first report comes out on Wednesday afternoon.

Eddie Goldman will slide back into the back-up role at nose tackle, with Will Sutton serving as the back-up at defensive end.
