Nick Roach Needs Your Help

Linebacker's friend died in January, leaving his widow to deal with medical bills

Though Bears linebacker Nick Roach is a free agent who will soon start the process of getting a new contract, he is focused on helping a friend in need. Roach's friend Sam Henke died of liver disease in January, and his widow was left to deal with the medical bills.

Roach is running an online raffle to help his friend with the medical bills.

Here's how you can help. Go to Facebook, and buy a $10 raffle ticket. Then you'll have a chance to win Bears memorabilia, gift certificates, special entry to places like Shedd Aquarium, and game tickets. Every entry will also get an autographed photo of Roach.

Roach talked about why he was moved to help Henke's family.

"I was so amazed by Sam's impact on so many people in such a short time, I knew as a friend and someone in my position I immediately felt compelled to help," Roach said to the Chicago Bears website.

It's a worthwhile cause, Bears fans, and you can win some cool stuff. Check it out here, and start your weekend off by doing a nice thing.
