LiveBlog: Bears Lose 17-14

Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears managed go up 14-10 on the Washington Redskins to close out the first half largely because of Johnny Knox's brilliant effort.

Before the receiver caught a 9-yard pass for a touchdown to close out the half, all the Bears had going was a  D.J. Moore interception for a score in the first quarter.  Knox showed flashes of brilliance on the drive at the end of the second quarter.

He caught four balls on the drive for 58 yards. Cutler was a 7-for-7 on the drive. He took advantage of being on his feet.

Typical Bears: despite the score, the team has failed to convert a single third down in the first half, failed to protect Cutler, who was sacked three times, and failed to emphasize the run. Matt Forte has just 11 yards on four tries.
