Former Bear Bryan Robinson Found Dead in Motel Room: Report

Former Bears defensive lineman Bryan Robinson was found dead in a motel room late Saturday, the Chicago Tribune reports. He was 41.

He was discovered at the Midpoint Motel in Milwaukee Saturday night, according to the Tribune, and pronounced dead at 10:17 p.m.

Results of an autopsy and toxicology reports are pending, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's office told the Tribune.

"We are saddened to hear of the loss of Bryan Robinson," the Bears said in a statement Monday morning. "He will be remembered for the determination and work ethic he displayed on the field over his six years in Chicago.

"The Bears and our fans will always be indebted to him for his game-saving blocked field goal in Green Bay six days after Walter Payton's passing. Our prayers are with Bryan and his family."

Robinson played in the NFL for 14 years, and was with the Bears from 1998 through 2003. He also played for the Rams, Dolphins, and Bengals, and finished his career with the Arizona Cardinals in 2010.
