Duerson Brain Study to be Released Today

A study on former Chicago Bears safety Dave Duerson's brain is scheduled to be released Monday.

Duerson committed suicide in his Florida home on Feb. 17. He was 50.

He sent a text message to his loved ones asking them to donate his brain for NFL research.

Boston University School of Medicine accepted Duerson's brain to study it.

The Center for the Study of Traumatic Encephalopathy looked for signs of chronic traumatic encephalopathy or CTE or what used to be known as "punch drunk."

Alicia Duerson said her ex-husband told her he experienced memory and vision problems and worried about brain damage from playing football.

She and the couple's three children will be present in Boston for the announcement at 10 a.m. Chicago time.
