Briggs, Agent Ask Bears for Trade

Lance Briggs' agent has formally requested to seek a trade following the Chicago linebacker's request for a raise.

Briggs told the Chicago Tribune he is "100 percent a Bear" and this is how business works.

He recently requested the raise, but team bosses apparently didn't move on the $3.9 million Briggs is scheduled to make this season with bonuses, plus $4 million in 2012 and $6.5 million in 2013.

Agent Drew Rosenhaus emailed the trade request to contract negotiator Cliff Stein, according to the Tribune. The Bears made no comment.
