Big Numbers: 4 Picks for No. 2

6.3: Todd Collins' QB rating at the end of the day. The backup quarterback tossed 4 Interceptions, only completed 6 passes for 32 yards and consistently missed open receivers. Caleb Hanie relieved him of his duties late in the game, and finished 2 of 3 for 19 yards. Not saying he's better, but he sure looked that way.

3: Sacks for Israel Idonije. Izzy played like a monster on the edge and made Jerry Angelo and Lovie Smith look like geniuses for parting ways with Mark Anderson.

1: Interception for Julius Peppers. But that doesn't tell the whole story. Peppers rushed the passer, stopped his gait when he recognized a short pass, stuck a giant paw up in the air and tipped the ball. Then he stopped, located it and dove through a number of confused Panthers for a pick. All Pep.

201: Combined return yards for Daniel Manning and Devin Hester. Hester nearly scored a touchdown on a punt return before the Panthers stopped kicking it his way. Looks like the vaunted Bears special teams are back.

20: Percent of third downs the Bears converted on offense. Still a major concern.

4: Number of wins the Bears have on the season. They're still No. 1.
