Bears will play Monday Night Football … but where?

Bears Defensive End Israel Idonije said the players have not yet been told where they'll be playing Monday Night's game against the Vikings.

"It's not where we're playing" Idonije said taking a page out of the Patriots playbook, "it's who we are playing...we are concerned about the Minnesota Vikings".

It's true.  Neither the Bears nor Vikings know exactly where the game will be played Monday night.  At least as of early Wednesday afternoon.

An update on the Vikings website, www.minnesotavikings.com stated the NFL league office supports the plan to play the game at TCF Bank Stadium, but is "currently ensuring the viability of this plan".  The website explained, "at this time NFL officials are touring TCF Bank Stadium to ensure its safety" among other issues of meeting technical requirements for a prime time broadcast.  The Vikings are already trying to accommodate season ticket holders in a stadium that holds far fewer fans, as well as parking availability.

Why are the Vikings, with a 5-8 record so eager to have the game played in the Land of 10,000 Lakes?  Because they have also planned to host 40 of the 50 "Greatest Vikings" this weekend as well.

Ultimately the decision to re-locate a game is the NFL's in consultation with the Vikings and the Bears, according to the Vikings team website.

The league could also move the game to one of several domed stadiums in the Midwest.
