The Chicago Bears signed defensive end Pernell McPhee to a five-year contract Tuesday.
McPhee, who is 26 years old, played the last four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens. The versatile player is known to play both defensive end and outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense, making him an ideal fit for the Bears' new defensive system.
McPhee was ranked the third best defensive pass rusher in the NFL last year, according to Pro Football Focus.
The Chicago Bears will hold a press conference to introduce McPhee at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Halas Hall with General Manager Ryan Pace and Head Coach John Fox.
