Bears Sign Jeremy Kelley, Waive DeDe Lattimore Saturday

Jeffery remains out with a calf issue, while White deals with shin problems

With wide receiver Alshon Jeffery out for at least a week with a calf injury and Kevin White still dealing with shin issues, the Chicago Bears made a move to bolster their depth at the position on Saturday by signing Jeremy Kelley to a one-year contract.

To make room for Kelley on the roster, the Bears opted to waive linebacker DeDe Lattimore. The linebacker had one tackle in the Bears’ 27-10 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night at Soldier Field.

Kelley has not played a single down in the NFL, but he has been on two different rosters as he’s signed contracts with both the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos. He’s also seen time in the Canadian Football League and the Arena Football League, most recently with the San Jose Sabercats this season.
