If malls make you yawn and online shopping sends you to sleep, consider an upcoming shopping party your incentive to knock out all of your holiday gifts at once and have some fun in the process. The second annual Jingle. Mingle. Shop! event, hosted by SeeMore Shopping (a local retail resource) and Always a Girl's Girl (a line of conversation-starting products for women), will feature clothing, accessories, jewelry, kid's stuff, stationery and unique gift items created by Chicago-based artists, designers and women-owned businesses.
And if that's not enough for you to get your credit cards primed and ready, Jingle. Mingle. Shop! is also a full-fledged party, with appetizers, a cash bar and special giveaways taking place throughout the evening. There will also be a silent auction on hand to benefit the Joshua Center, a local homeless women's shelter and outreach program. Now your spending is taking on a whole new meaning.
Jingle. Mingle. Shop! is set for Thursday, Dec. 11 from 4-10PM at Germania Place in the Gold Coast. There is free general admission (click here to RSVP), or, for $25, you can get access to the VIP lounge, complete with comped drinks, food and a goodie bag.
