Eat Up Chicago

New web site offers a sneak peek at Restaurant Week menus

We've already mentioned that we're pretty stoked for Restaurant Week here in Chicago Feb. 20-27.  You can peruse the 130+ restaurants participating in the $22 prix-fixe lunches and $32 prix-fixe dinners on the Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau web site,
But now you can take it a step further to examine the actual Restaurant Week menus on www.eatupchicago.com,  a handy little web site that's updated daily with not only the prix-fixe menus, but also with restaurant news and deals, especially those pertaining to Restaurant Week.  The site will make it easier for you to decide where you want to make your reservations (which you can do on OpenTable.com by the way.)

For example, you can figure out in advance if the choice between main entrees rigatoni Bolognese, tilapia and pollo Val d' Aosta at 312 Chicago sounds more tantalizing than deciding between the charred hanger steak, roasted miso salmon or savory roasted mushroom pasty at Ajasteak.

If you like what you see on eatupchicago.com, become a fan of the Unofficial Guide to Chicago Restaurant Week on Facebook , where you can learn about what new menus have been added.  There's also an informational group on LinkedIn.  Ah, the power of the Internets.
