Frost Advisories Through Monday Morning

Temperatures expect to climb to the 80s on Tuesday

Those May flowers may need a bit of protecting Sunday night.

The National Weather Service issued frost advisories for the Chicago metropolitan area, including Cook, DeKalb, Kankakee, McHenry, Lake, Kane, DuPage, Kendall, Grundy and Will counties in Illinois, as well as Kenosha County in Wisconsin.

Frost Advisories were also issued for Newton and Jasper counties in Indiana. LaPorte County, Ind., was under a freeze warning.

All of the advisories and the warning were scheduled to be in effect until 7 a.m. Monday.

Temperatures on Monday should rebound from the mid-30s to the 60s before climbing into the mid- and upper-80s for Tuesday.
