Police Warn: Snow-Removal Equipment Stolen From Garages

Chicago's winter that seemingly won't end may be a contributing factor in a rash of robberies on the city's south side.

In a community alert, Chicago police warn of the theft of tools and snow removal equipment. Several crimes have been reported in the McKinley Park and Bridgeport neighborhoods.

The incidents were reported in the:

- 2800 block of South Throop Street on Feb. 18.

- 3700 block of South Winchester Avenue on Feb. 19.

- 3600 block of South Hamilton Avenue between Feb. 23 and Feb. 24.

- 3200 block of South Hamilton Avenue on Feb. 25.

Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to contact Area Central detectives at 312-747-8382.
