Storms Possible for Air Show?

The popular sky show likely will miss Saturday showers, but barely

The Chicago Air & Water Show likely will narrowly miss Saturday thunderstorms.

Showers and storms are possible in the morning, according to NBCChicago's Andy Avalos, followed by partly sunny skies and highs in the low 80s.

The National Weather Service warns rain also could be on tap later Saturday. A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms are on the radar in the evening with clouds and lows around 67.

The air show runs from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on the lakefront above North Avenue Beach.

Leading into the weekend, Thursday sunshine warms up temps to mid-80s. The day becomes less humid and cools off to 70 by Thursday night.

More of the same is expected Friday with sun, a little more humidity and a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon and evening.
