After a gloomy spring, Chicago is set to warm up and see some sun this weekend.
NBC Chicago’s Andy Avalos reports an end to Chicago's seemingly never-ending string of clouds and the start of hazy sunshine later Friday afternoon with highs between 72 and 76 inland. Along the lake, a breeze keeps temps a bit cooler, in the upper 50s.
Saturday brings back some clouds and a chance of isolated thunderstorms in the morning. The afternoon and evening will see highs of 76 and 80, along with a few more showers and thunderstorms throughout the area.
Sun and highs in the low to mid-80s are on the radar for Sunday. Though a few scattered showers are possible, it's expected to mostly be a dry day.
