The winds are a-blowin', so don't be a-goin' nowhere.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe weather alert and tornado watches for northeastern Illinois and northwest Indiana until 7 p.m. this evening.

The storms have already caused some damage in Wilmington, where firefighters responded to the scene of a trailer home that had been completely overturned and destroyed (pictured).

It's not known if there were any injuries.

There have been various reports of wind or other weather damage, according to authorities, says the Trib. In the northern part of Kane County, a large tree in the lanes of Route 47 had to be shut down between Route 38 and Route 64 about 6:15 p.m.

No injuries and no damage to vehicles were reported, Lt. Pat Gengler of the Kane County sheriff's office told the Trib.
