It's hard to remember with the current cold weather, but not too long ago it was over 70 degrees, and so Millennium Park Ice Rink's opening day has been postponed until Nov. 19, and that's if weather cooperates.

Due to last week's unseasonably warm weather and rain, The McCormick Tribune Ice Rink is now scheduled to open next Wednesday.

The ice rink, located on Michigan Avenue between Washington and Madison streets, is open daily from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m.

For the Thanksgiving holiday on Nov. 27 and on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, the rink will be open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Skating in Millennium Park is free and open to the public.  Skate rental is available for $10 dollars.

For more information about events in Millennium Park during the winter months including Caroling at Cloud Gate, visit www.millenniumpark.org or call 312-742-1168.
