Here we go again.

A winter storm warning goes into effect tonight, with snow expected to begin close to 11 p.m. and continue through Saturday.

In all, forecasters expect between 6 and 8 inches of fresh snow, with heavier accumulation near the tip of Lake Michigan on the South Side and in Northwest Indiana.

The snowfall rates could be as high as 1 to 2 inches per hour at times, the National Weather Service said.
