Just in time for the Fourth of July, Chicago will warm up and stay dry, making for a pleasant weekend to celebrate.

Friday started out cool, but temperatures will reach the mid-70s for a high. There is no precipitation in the forecast, but there will be slight cloud cover throughout the day Friday and a light wind.

Expect temperatures to fall to the 60's for Friday night fireworks in Chicago and the suburbs.

By Saturday, the weather will attain near perfect conditions. Temperatures will reach the low 80s with barely any humidity, and the sun will be out.

Temperatures will fall slightly to the low 70's during Saturday night's fireworks shows. Expect temperatures to fall lower to the 60-degree range near the lakefront. If you're heading to Navy Pier for the fireworks show, bring a sweater!

Sunday looks to be the warmest day of the weekend, with highs in the mid to upper 80s. Like the rest of the weekend, heavy winds and precipitation will stay at bay, leaving the sun to shine.

The next chance for rain or storms is expected to arrive late Monday into early Tuesday.

Temperatures will likely remain in the 80's throughout the week next week.
