Temperatures Dive Sunday Afternoon

Temperatures on Sunday morning were in the teens

Mother Nature is going to make sure the fresh snow we've had sticks around for a while.

Temperatures on Sunday morning were in the teens and were expected to fall from there. By 5 p.m., wind chills will likely be in the sub-zero range. There may also be a few flurries.

The Chicago area was under a winter weather advisory Friday and Saturday for a snowstorm that brought up to 6 inches of snow in some areas.

Airlines canceled more than 100 flights out of Chicago's two airports because of the storm.

The snow continued throughout the morning and afternoon but began to taper during the evening hours.

A slight warm-up should mark the start of the week with highs in upper 20s Monday and even reaching into the 30s Tuesday.
