Chicagoland is in for more soggy weather Thursday. And maybe some hail, too.

The National Weather Service says there's a 30 percent chance of severe thunderstorms for the outer reaches of Chicago.

Winds gusts of up to 50 m.p.h., hail and lightning are expected for Illinois and Indiana starting as early as 1 p.m.

The areas expected to take the most punishment are to the east, including Valparaiso and Morris, according to the service.

It's just the latest what has become a swampy summer for the area. Storms pounded Chicagoland in July and early August leading to record rainfall accumulation, flooded basements and difficult commutes.
