Fall-Like Temperatures, Showers Set for Chicago Area

The area will see a few isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms ahead of a cold front

The Chicago area will see more comfortable conditions in the next few days with temperatures in the 70s and lower humidity levels. However, colder temperatures are coming at the end of the week.

The area will see a few isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms ahead of a cold front due Thursday.

The passage of the cold front will bring the first real shot of chilly fall air Friday into Saturday.

As much cooler air travels over the warmer waters of Lake Michigan, more clouds and lake effect showers are expected to develop, mainly along the shoreline and in Northwest Indiana where there could be a few instability showers.

As high pressure sinks south and flow backs more west Sunday, there will be better weather for the Bears’ home opener with more sunshine and pleasant cool temperatures in the low 70s.
