The Chicago area will see another weekend of wild weather.

Friday began with light rain and snow showers before turning mostly cloudy and overcast. A few peeks of sun will be possible in the afternoon as the Chicago White Sox take home plate.

The day will be windy and cold with moderate snow and rain showers passing across the area at times. Wind gusts will reach upwards of 35 mph. Temperature highs hover between the upper 30s and low 40s.

Overnight snow showers will wind down by midnight with some minor accumulation possible. Skies clear, winds gain strength and temperatures dip colder, into the 20s. By dawn, wind chill readings will drop into the low teens.

Saturday some clouds and flurries are possible early in Northwest Indiana, otherwise the day will be mostly sunny, breezy and quite chilly. Highs in the upper 30s to 40 degrees.

An icy mix of sleet and snow will move in Sunday, but the snow mix is expected to change on and off to rain showers throughout the windy and chilly day. Highs near 50 degrees.

Monday will be mostly cloudy with a few lingering early morning showers, then clouds decrease for some sunshine for a breezy and cool afternoon.
