A vice presidential visit Thursday afternoon likely made more than a few people late to appointments or to their families.

Rolling closures were put in place along the Kennedy and Edens expressways as Vice President Joe Biden visited the Windy City for a pair of evening campaign events.

Biden started the day with events in Milwaukee. From there, he traveled to Chicago. One of the Chicago fundraisers was at the Lincoln Park home of real estate developer Elzie Higginbottom.

The vice president left Chicago for Wilmington, Del. afterward.

Adding to headaches on the city's west side Thursday evening was a Chicago Blackhawks game at the United Center. The Hawks hosted the St. Louis Blues.
