Person Struck by Blue Line Train in Oak Park

CTA Blue Line trains are experiencing delays after a person was struck by a train Friday night in west suburban Oak Park.

A person “made contact with a train” about 7:15 p.m. at the Austin station, according to the CTA.

As of 8:24 p.m., trains in both directions were running on the same track between Cicero and Harlem, according to the CTA. Trains are bypassing the Austin station.

Shuttle buses are running between the affected stations. Riders can also take the No. 7 Harrison bus as an alternative.

An Oak Park city spokesman could not immediately be reached for more information.
