Chicago Officer Hurt in Crash on Lower Wacker Drive

Officer was treated at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and released

Two people, including a Chicago Police officer, were hurt in a Downtown crash on Lower Wacker Drive Thursday night.

A squad car with its lights and sirens on was responding to a call in the 0-100 block of North Wacker when it was struck by a southbound Lincoln LS at about 9 p.m, police said.

The police officer and the 28-year-old man driving the Lincoln were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

The officer was treated and released. Citations were pending against the 28-year-old, who was listed in good condition early Friday.
