Traffic was delayed Friday morning on Interstate 57 heading toward Chicago because of crews working to put out a car fire.

The disabled vehicle was on the northbound lanes of the interstate near 139th Street. Another vehicle was in a ditch adjacent to the one that was on fire.

It wasn't immediately clear if the two incidents were related.

That portion of roadway is already a slow zone because of ongoing construction work in the area.

Information about any injuries was not available as of 6:10 a.m.
