A one-block stretch of Wabash Avenue in the Loop will be closed for ten weeks starting Thursday morning for construction of a new CTA station.

Wabash will close between Madison and Monroe at 6:30 a.m. Thursday for construction of a new CTA train station above Wabash, according to the Chicago Department of Transportation. Madison will remain open to westbound traffic.

The closure was initially scheduled to began Monday, but was pushed back three days due to delays of other work preceding the closure, according to CDOT.
