2 Teens Charged in South Loop “L” Shooting

Chicago Police arrested and charged two boys

Two teens were arrested and charged Wednesday in the shooting of a 21-year-old man at a South Loop train platform.

One boy, 14, was charged with a felony count of aggravated battery and use of a deadly weapon. The other male, 16, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon.

The shooting happened around 7 p.m. Monday at the Roosevelt Road "L" station east of State Street after a reported argument, police said.

The victim, shot in the torso, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.

Police recovered the handgun at the scene and located the shooter, who was identified by the victim.
