Switch Problems Delay Several Metra Trains at Ogilvie Transportation Center

    Switch problems delayed numerous trains Metra trains at Ogilvie Transportation Center during Friday afternoon rush hour.

    According to Metra’s website, at least two trains on the Union Pacific North Line scheduled to depart between 5:30 and 5:45 p.m. Friday were delayed due to “switch problems.”

    Trains no. 351 headed to Waukegan and no. 349 headed to Kenosha were delayed.

    Several trains on the Union Pacific West Line also reported delays for the switch issues.

    It was not clear how long the delays would last.
