CTA Goes Gaming With Playstation

A video game starring Chicago's Brown Line is a hit in Japan.

Most kids' holiday wish lists this year involve video games. While it's common to see games that feature superheroes and race cars, gamers will be surprised by the latest Playstation star: the CTA.

No, seriously.

The game is called "Railfan" and is unfortunately only available for Playstation 3 in Japan. It launched in 2006 and is a big hit in the Land of the Rising Sun.

But don't worry that you're missing out on some awesome commute action, reports the Chicagoist. The "game" is little more than a train simulator. While fascinating to watch at first, it's not likely to hold most Americans' attention for very long.

The graphics are amazing, but the game only features Chicago's Brown Line... for better or worse.

You can check out videos of the video game action on YouTube here, here, and here.
