    Three people were injured and many more were stuck in traffic after Illinois State Police shut down all northbound lanes of the Dan Ryan Expressway for nearly three hours after a rollover crash. NBC 5's Lauren Jiggetts reports. (Published Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015)

    Illinois State Police shut down all northbound lanes of the Dan Ryan Expressway at 79th Street for nearly three hours Wednesday afternoon following a rollover crash that injured three people.

    Two SUVs were involved in the crash that happened in the inbound lanes of I-94 at 79 Street around 1 p.m., police said.

    Two people were taken to Stroger Hospital a third to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, according to Fire Media Affairs. All three were in critical condition.

    Traffic was being diverted off the expressway at 79th Street, but all lanes of the expressway reopened shortly after 4 p.m.
