Metra Engineer Suspended for Letting Teen Drive Train

A Metra engineer has been suspended for allegedly allowing an 18-year-old train enthusiast to operate the controls of a commuter train.

Three engineers were charged with allowing an “unauthorized person” into the cab of a locomotive, and one of the three was charged with allowing that same person to operate the controls, a spokesman for the Federal Railroad Association said.
