Man Robbed, Sexually Assaulted at CTA Station

Victim says he was attacked early Tuesday at the Red Line's North & Clybourn station

A man was robbed at knifepoint and then sexually assaulted early Tuesday while sitting on a bench at the Chicago Transit Authority's North and Clybourn station on the Red Line, police said.

The 24-year-old man was approached by a man, thought to be in his 30s, with a knife, said police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala. The attacker then took the man to an ATM machine and forced him to withdraw an undisclosed amount of cash, Zala said.

The victim was then taken to an alley and sexually assaulted, Zala added. The man went home and called police following the attack, police said.

No one was in custody by Wednesday evening.
