A Chicago Transit Authority bus fatally hit a 62-year-old man who stumbled while walking on Chicago's South Side Monday night.
The 62-year-old man tripped and fell into the path of the No. 8 northbound bus after 9 p.m. Monday near 43rd and Halsted Street in the Back of the Yards neighborhood, police said.
He was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County where he was pronounced dead, according to authorities.
No citations were given but an investigation was ongoing.
