A driver was killed early Saturday after a truck crashed into an accident scene on Interstate 80 near Seneca, officials said.

The original wreck occurred after a wrong-way driver heading west in the eastbound lanes of I-80 hit a a car driven by 66-year-old Abed Bader around 12:05 a.m.

A semi-truck  then struck Bader's car before the accident could be cleared, police said.

Bader was pronounced dead at the scene while the other driver was transported to Morris Hospital with serious injuries.

Bader was reportedly returning home from his job delivering medicine to senior homes.

His family said Bader's death is "one of the toughest days" of their lives. Bader leaves behind four grandchildren.
