A driver dodged dozens of cars while driving the wrong way on the Edens Expressway early Thursday morning.

State police say the SUV got on at Elston Avenue around 2:30 a.m. and traveled north for 11 miles in the southbound lanes of the Edens expressway, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Local police stopped the vehicle just north of Tower Road in suburban Glencoe and took the driver into custody.

Charges are pending against the suspected drunk driver, who police are not yet naming Thursday morning.
