Three people were seriously injured Wednesday morning in an SUV rollover crash on southbound Lake Shore Drive, Chicago fire officials said.

Just before 10 a.m., a minivan collided with a Ford Explorer, causing the SUV to flip over on Lake Shore at Balbo. Balbo was shut down between Columbus and Lake Shore Drive.

A 25-year-old man, a 21-year-old woman and a 1-year-old girl, all occupants of the Explorer, were taken in serious-to-critical condition to local hospitals.

The adults were listed in stable condition as of 1 p.m., according to the Chicago Tribune. The child was upgraded to good condition.
